Importance of Vehicle Transmission Service

 

What purpose does a transmission serve?

Vehicles need a transmission to transfer the power from the engine to the drive shaft and the differential to let wheels turn. The transmission varies the torque, the speed and the direction by changing the transmission ratios and enables the car to start with a high torque.

 When do you need a transmission service?

If you notice that your car isn’t shifting gears as smoothly as it used to, then your transmission might need some work. If you feel like the gear changes are starting to happen too slowly or not at all (like when accelerating from a stop), this could indicate that something is off with your car's gearbox.

 What are the benefits of a transmission service?

After a transmission service is performed on your vehicle, you will notice smoother shifting and increase the life of your gearbox. Remember a transmission is very costly to replace, so it is better to maintain the one you have very well.
