Car Radiator Care

Car radiator  is one of the key components in a vehicle’s cooling system that is often overlooked. In the automotive world, the radiator can be likened to the heart of the cooling system. Just as the heart pumps blood throughout the body, the radiator ensures that coolant flows through the engine, keeping the temperature at a safe level. Without a healthy radiator, a car engine can overheat, causing costly damage and disrupting your driving pleasure. Therefore, in order to keep your car running at an optimal temperature, it is important to understand the role and take good care of the radiator. In this article, we will explore more about car radiators, from their functions, components, and the best way to maintain them. What is a Car Radiator? A car radiator is a part of a car’s cooling system that is responsible for regulating engine temperature.  Without a radiator, the engine will overheat, causing serious damage and shortening the life of the vehicle. Importance Of Replacing Your Filters

Every car has four main filters: the cabin filter, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter. The function of these filters is to enable flows and catch impurities: the dust and contaminants in the air, the dirt in the fuel or in the motor oil. If your car filters are not replaced on time, they won't work properly and, in the end, it could cause an impact on the engine. By replacing your filters, your car will be more efficient.   Increases Engine Life Lowers Emissions Improves Fuel Economy Enhances Engine Performance Protects Engine Reduces Engine Strain Controls Odour That Comes To The Cabin Reduces Pollution Remember to replace your filters as and when it is required, see your mechanic to check and advice if you are not sure of the current status. Tips to Get the Coolest Car Air Conditioning

 1. Don’t Precool Your car air conditioning works much better when you’re driving because the faster the engine turns, the faster the AC compressor runs, which lets the system cool more effectively.  Don’t waste time and gas by letting your car run before you go. When you start driving, turn on the air conditioner and open all the windows for 10 to 20 seconds. Even on the hottest days, the air inside the car will be much hotter than the outside air. You might think you’re wasting the cooling from the air conditioner. But it will take that long for the AC to start cooling, so you’ll be helping it cool the interior. 2. Go Low Setting to the lowest temp and adjusting the fan makes the car air conditioning more efficient, will dry out the air less, and can save some fuel. Why is that? In a typical AC system, the air is cooled to 38 degrees. If you set the temp higher, you’re forcing the system to reheat the cooled air, which takes more effort and more fuel. 3. Don't Recirculate If...

Importance of Vehicle Transmission Service

What purpose does a transmission serve? Vehicles need a transmission to transfer the power from the engine to the drive shaft and the differential to let wheels turn. The transmission varies the torque, the speed and the direction by changing the transmission ratios and enables the car to start with a high torque.   When do you need a transmission service? If you notice that your car isn’t shifting gears as smoothly as it used to, then your transmission might need some work. If you feel like the gear changes are starting to happen too slowly or not at all (like when accelerating from a stop), this could indicate that something is off with your car's gearbox.   What are the benefits of a transmission service? After a transmission service is performed on your vehicle, you will notice smoother shifting and increase the life of your gearbox. Remember a transmission is very costly to replace, so it is better to maintain the one you have very well. ...
